Been around the block a time or two. A few hk products have passed through my hands. Several stayed. I like hks. Long time member at falfiles. Like them too.

Welcome from Utah. I too have a 'thing' for FALs, iconic rifle for sure. Reminds me to dig my Springfield SAR-48 out of the safe; poor thing hasn't been to the range but once or twice and that was way back in the 90s when I was still in the Air Force. SMH. Need to dig around in the man cave to locate the mags that go with it first...

Thanks for the welcome, it seems that people that appreciate the FAL also appreciate the roller delay rifle. I appreciate the craftsmanship in both rifles.
 
The G3 and the FAL are the two premier battle rifles of the recent era.

Being as I'm 71 now, it is no wonder they are common to our collections and love. We grew up with them. Some used them in combat.

The rest are also-rans IMO.

Nowadays the AR10 and the FN SCAR are the new kids on the block, and are proving themselves worthy of the high end but neither are as sexy as the previous. Borne out as those don't get as much attention as a G3 or a FAL at the range.
