Hi guys,

Not strictly HK I know, but had a great day at the private range.

I am new to this brand (long time C&R collector), and coming in slow and cheap, lol!
I had a day spare so took the PTR 9 carbine to the range to break it in.
Brand new out of the box, fed it 250 rounds of Blazer.

Zero issues, zero failure to feed, zero jams of any type, I couldn't be happier with this little carbine.
Absolute tack driver too, really really fun to shoot.
I have a felling it will not be my only HK variant.

I do have a LOT of accessories inbound.
Currently only an MP5A2 stock and two retro-straight HK mags in a dual holder, otherwise standard PTR dressing.

Thanks for the report. ;)

Tony
Yes, you guys have all experienced it, so the review is not news for members on this forum, but it was a good day for me, and I felt compelled to share here, lol.
Also, I had read about stoppages and some workmanship/machining issues with the PTR, but this one runs like melted butter.
Would like to potentially add a 93 or 91 (53/51) carbine next.

Did another trip to the range.
Tried out some accessories, today.

Stock (Original MP5A3)
Surefire Forearm - (flashlight doesn't fit below barrel shroud so is safe and sound elsewhere.)
Lower was from this forum, it's a metal lower, with the trigger tuned.
The Franklin lower was also through the classifieds, but at the other HK forum.
The straight 1967 mags are held in an HK dual clamp.
The 15 round German mags are in a TAK Israeli dial clamp.
Aimpoint red dot worked great.
Sling from HKparts.net.
MFI fake shroud
MKE mags from classifieds.

It was a great afternoon shooting, the little PTR carbine is just a blast to use and a great fun a way to make that steel ring!

Really is a fun carbine to shoot, I like the fake suppressor, the pencil barrel being ugly, but, would be better served with one made of plastic as the steel adds weight to the set up.
The Franklin lower is fun, but just a way to burn ammo, the tuned trigger is amazing and great fun to shoot with the red dot.
The straight mags had issues, the curved mags zero problems.
The surefire forearm was nice, but the light doesn't fit in with the fake suppressor and there is also a little movement, I will be returning to the HK forearm. Anything is better than the monstrosity that PTR sells the rifle with.

I am looking now to add the 5.56mm version of this carbine to my collection, just need to find one around here, lol.
