Hey guys, new member here. I just picked up a new to me P2KSK. It's from 2014.

No holster wear but the mags tell a story of range use. Barrel is in excellent shape.

I did buy a new recoil assembly as, presumably, the original is 11 years old and I don't know the history. But, I'm wondering what other springs might ready for replacement at this age?

All thoughts appreciated. Looking forward to joining the community.

Welcome @DoyleA79. I prefer the P2000 and P2000sk for carry and nightstand guns. Great choice! It used to be that you could send your firearm to HK USA and they would bring it up to current standards, replacing any needed parts and springs. Those days are long gone though.

You could replace the firing pin block spring if you are concerned. I've also seen pics of broken sear springs but have never experienced this myself.

Thanks Ender. I'm new to HK pistols and too new to know whether to be concerned.

Excellent choice. I didn't get the SK in 40 but 9 but I did get the P2K in 40. Excellent weapons.

Welcome to your new home!

Fret not. You are GTG. Enjoy it, great pick up. I have P2000’s and P2SK’s 10 years older, shoot/carry a bunch and have not yet had a need to change a spring. That said, I have extra new springs for all pistols in my parts bin for when and if the need arises….So get what springs you want and store them like a squirrel. I will say, if you haven’t already, put the 45c mag release on it. Game changer. Again, congrats, it is a mighty fine pistol.
