This is going to be a Cetme pistol. My son and I are building it up from another $150.00 Cetme C parts kit. We are going to call it the Stryker 51P after my son's middle name. It's being test fitted in the photos. We'll finish it up tomorrow after we cut down the bolt carrier, weld up the cocking tube, rear site and stock pin bushings. We used an RCM CHF HK51 barrel and cocking tube from HK Parts dot net.B798B052-CE49-4E97-AFB7-697E013C20A9.jpegDDA29A12-EE51-4115-8BC7-30FDB7E97E4E.jpeg

Worked most of the afternoon on the Stryker 51P only to find out I'm short the mag catch/release assembly! Had to order those parts and now it's a waiting game until they arrive...
Dang it...

I want more pictures. build process? how do you cut the carrier? How do you line up the front of the BCG before you weld it? what is your tacking process? what is you weld tectonic? tig? Mig? stick?

Elkoholic- This project started as a Cetme Modello C parts kit. I got the flat for the receiver from HK Parts. I bent the flat and then use a straightening mandrel to ensure it's to spec. Then, I press the barrel into the trunnion, all the while checking on the bolt gap. I put my bolt gap between .0012-.0018. Next is to install the barrel and trunnion and the cocking tube. I use both MIG and TIG welding. Tack welds are usually done with a MIG welder. Everything is lined up by hand/eye ball, using a string line guide for alignment and then tacked together.
I cut the bolt carrier down using a dremel tool and an 1 1/2" cut off wheel. It too is aligned by hand/eye before it's tacked and then welded.

I don't recommend taking my advice, Gilliebear would be the one to get advice and instructions from. I'm just an old Marine infantryman that doesn't know you can't build your own HK roller locks...

The new project as of last night. Still waiting on the mag catch and paddle release.

I’m going for the field use look. I HATE that Cetme trigger pack, it’s sloppy as all get out… kinda goes with the theme I reckon.
