@jorayr97 They do excellent work. I'm always on the lookout for a donor USP for this exact reason. Congrats - well worth the wait.

New to me, NIB BA Date code, safe queen, USP .45 Tactical. 30 years in the waiting. GG&G, 5/6 decocker delete and suppressor pistol bag inbound. Still needs gray guns, undetermined holster and undetermined light. Love it77CEEE86-42CA-4C54-B21B-D2C6C0B4BE4F.jpeg

I honestly do not have any idea why those are different, I will have to break them down to see if that adds to the confusion! They all have the guide rods they came with when purchased. Perhaps another member will chime in with invaluable information for us!


Update #1

Disassembled two stainless USPc 9mmx19 for a closer look.

The KI (1998) production uses a solid guide rod with a circlip to retain the spring washer:

The BF (2015) production uses a split guide rod without a circlip to retain the spring washer:

Most parts suppliers (like Numrich) do not seem to know these options even exist!

Could be based on the manufacturing years. :unsure:
