I've made a mildly obsessive hobby of tracking prices on the P7s. Here's what I have on the P7M13:

Heckler & Koch P7M13 Pistol in 9x19.
Blue Book of Gun Values (41st Edition) indicates between $2500 in 95% condition and $3450 in 100% condition for this gun. I have 289 recorded prices for this model gun from $1100 to $5500 over a period of 17 Yrs 2 Mos ending February 4, 2021 (not charted). The average price as of that date was $2268. No refurbs, no refinishes, regular sights. Adjusted to two magazines. All represented as 95% or better. No distinction for import location or engineering revision, if any, no special editions, no distinctions for box, papers, tools. Current or last MSRP is $1330. The last 44 prices I have for this model since 01/01/2020 range from $1999 to $5500 averaging $3463.

The attached chart show only prices gathered since January 1, 2020 and adjust them to what the Consumer Price Index published for the relative value of the dollar in November, 2020. All of the charted prices are from completed Gunbroker auctions. The data were not rigorously pursued, I gathered them when I felt like it.

Notice the "rising tide" appearance of the price waves. July 2020 includes a consecutively numbered mint pair of M13s.

I think the consecutively numbered pair sold at $9,000 along with two others of the nine over $4,000 was enough to push the average up a bunch. Message: "buy now, they'll never be less expensive." People looking for the model picked up a notch on what they were willing to pay. Given the slope of the trend, not much risk, if any, would seem to be involved in shelling out for one if you could do so. Similar goings on with all the P7s and the now discontinued Browning Hi-Powers, too.
