Hey All!!!!!

Well, I said it a long time ago on a forum whose name shall not be mentioned. It looks like the HK416 uppers have dried up,
and prices are going through the roof. I remember when you could buy a BA date code for $5K, and this AH would be $4K.

Case in point; please see below. No affiliation/not mine.
Caveat: I'm always concerned when a NR is bidding.

I bought two German G36s, both from Mike Otte for about $5500 each. That was 3-4 years ago tho.

Well this sucks. I really wanted a German 416 upper.

Who makes the best clones? Do they compare at all?

Will there ever be more genuine uppers available? It’s not like the 416 isn’t currently being produced.

My MR556 should suffice.

In a pinch, I like knowing that I got a SBR setup ready to install in the event SHTF and tax stamps are no longer a thing.

My gripe with my MR is the weight. It’s probably the last piece I reach for when the covid jab zombies are on the horizon. When in fact, my HK’s are supposed to be the first thing I reach for.

I was thinking the same thing in regards to the weight. And then I recently picked up my JLD91 to move it around and was reminded what a beast it is.

That damn thing went for $7K!!!!!!!!!

I never would have guessed these things would start going that high.....especially for an AH
date code.

I feel cheated, since I sold a bunch a "B" date coded uppers for $6K way back when. <sigh>
