As you may or may not know, I've recently decided to buy a HK P8.

With that said.....what is the difference between a P8 and a P8-A1?

I'm learning on this.

Holmes, the A1 has the "night sights" not Trijicon though, and the slide was "beefed" up for the 40S&W cartridge the Germans originally used. This is from my memory, & I'm no "historian" bro.

HK P8 (USP9FS- differing on in the safety (FS v. SF)/decocker and barrel (lands and grooves v. polygonal))
HK P8 A1 (USP9FS- differing on in the safety (FS v. SF)/decocker and barrel (lands and grooves v. polygonal) + luminous sights (v. white), thicker slide at certain points, and nitride finish)
