Does anyone know of an HK black that is closer to the grayish paint HK applied to their 9X rifles?
Here is a picture of my recently painted end-cap against my 91. I used KG Gun Kote's HK Black.
I knew it wasn't going to match exactly but damn, there's got to be a closer color out there.

My crappy phone picture cant capture just how different the colors are.
 
There was a builder/refinisher that offered the "blue-gray" finish, but I cannot recall the name. :unsure:
Still looks great--- probably will not notice, unless you are in the right light and at the right angle. ;)

It's the DuraCoat people. I emailed them this morning, just got a reply.+

It's called HK Blue/Gray. What a surprise!

I guess no one else is interested in this as you guys just
BUY NIB 1963, Never Shot, Guns fondle them every Other Sunday, then put back in the safe.

My Problem is, these damn Kits only cover 1-2 guns, and I have about 30 that need re-finishing. :rolleyes:
How do I know if I want HK Blue/Gray or SemiGloss Black (HK) or East German Green
