Shifted gears today due to missing parts….started on a 53SD-300 BO

I was building a couple MP5’s and SD’s when I realized HK Parts failed to ship me the right parts for my order…..so I decided to start on a pet project I’ve been wanting to do….an HK53SD chambered in 300 BO….I think it’s coming together nicely.

I cut down an RCM 300 BO barrel to 7” and threaded it then started from there. Hopefully I can try it out this coming weekend along side an HK53 in 300 BO I’m building for a client….

I've got in-laws this weekend, so my shooting this weekend, is "das kaput" for lack of a better term.

I'll do my best to get it tuned and post video this weekend. I did fire it last night but its short stroking so I have to play with locking pieces and springs.

Took it out and found the suppressor didn’t hold up so I swapped it out for a SilencerCo Hybrid 46 and that does well. Still tuning it for subs, but it runs 100% on 150 gr ammo. By ear comparison, it’s equal to an 11.5” suppressed AR….not bad for an 8” 30 caliber weapon…
