Shooting .300 b/o questions.

I bough a DDM4 ISR in .300 b/o… still in jail.
Since its integrally suppressed, I will only shoot it suppressed.
I see ammo prices from .53 cents to over $1 around.
I saw Barnes @ 15.99 for a box of 20, 220 grain, says precession match.
I saw AMMO INC @ 89.99 a box of 200 rounds. Says ideal for competitive shooting…. I don't shoot Competition.
I saw Capital Cartridge @ 119.50 for 300 rounds. 147 gr. Comes in a “Free” ammo can!

My question is:
1- Should I go with a heavier grain even though the barrel is integrally suppressed?
2- What is a good in the middle cartridge for target and possibly home defense?
3- What is a good price point per rounds?
4- Where and who would you recommend to buy from?

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

I've contemplated about getting into the .300 BK but then I'd have to get another suppressor or a M4 integrally suppressed upper for my SBR lower. I reload and know that you can make your own brass from common Lake City 5.56 brass (my friend does this), this to take ammo down to the 'peanuts' price for just powder/bullets/primers and reusing the brass over and over until the neck splits.

I'm sure you're aware of the extra caution when you take your .300BK to the range and you or someone there with you is shooing .223/5.56...

Yes sir! That was the main reason that kept me from making the .300 B/O leap.
