Good Morning,
Before I get yelled at I did try the search tool but I was not finding anything. I looked for cleaning and CLP.
What are you guys using to clean these guns? My dad taught me to clean with Hoppies and lube with Rem oil. After spending some time on YouTube it seems like maybe that is an old school approach? The Teufelshund guy seems creatable and is using some stuff called Slip2000. Ballistol comes up a lot too when poking around.

Is anything really better than the other? Anything that sucks and I should avoid?

Thanks,

I use Birchwood Casey Barricade (formerly, Sheath)--- cleaner, lubricant, and rust preventative. ;)

This is not the place where you get yelled at for asking a legit question.
I use anything I can get my hands on to clean with.
Believe it or not, I like Non-chlorinated brake cleaner for inside dirty barrels and disassembled triggers… just make sure to lube it all back up!
I would never use it on polymer frames or slides with a finer finish for fear of damaging it, but the inside of a barrel is a go for me.

Slip2000 is an awesome product. I love their lubricants but I think their gun wash is probably just windex… at least it smells like it.
EWL (Slip 2000 product) is a really nice lube for me and seems to work well.

I don’t t really care for all in one cleaners and lubricants.

The above is my opinion and should be taken as just that.

I ended up buying the Slip 2000 EWL. So far I like it. It cleaned everything and the parts look like they have oil on them. I guess time will tell how it does? BTW I wonder if they can make it smell like Hoppies.... haha

Just remember the roller locks are NOT made to be run wet like an AR15. In general, the EWL leaves a SP5/MP5 to wet and therefore leaves a messier carbon collection! That there IS the beauty of Remoil as it is a dry lube. A light surface cover of oil on the bolt head and in the trunnion do make cleaning easier as the carbon sticks to the oil. Don’t over lube! Cheers

Can you explain that more? I cant say that I follow. I understand the mechanical difference in how the two guns work but what about the roller lock gun makes it not want to be well oiled?
