Loaded question! If you had to choose between the SP5 or Mark 23, which would it be and why?
I have none but would love to have one Lol. One of those early morning dreams.Loaded question!
opposite end of the spectrum!
9mm vs .45!
do you have one or the other? You really need both!
if I had to choose one and only one…. The MARK23 with an older date code and Roll Marks.
the why’s : Simple….
Legacy gun.
Heavily tested.
its a .45.
uber dependable!
you can say the same for the SP5… just change the .45 to 9mm…. But you need both.
M.
I agree you need both for sure.If you had to choose between the SP5 or Mark 23, which would it be and why?
There you go!!!!Both Needed but remember:
Knife needed to get to your Handgun
Handgun needed to get to your SUB-GUN
SUB-GUN needed to get to your Beltfed
That can also be said for the MARK23 as well, minus the binary trigger.I agree you need both for sure.
But I would go with an SP5 first if you dont have either of them.
They have super fast target acquisition with 30-40 rounds of freedom to deploy per mag.
A much broader spectrum of optic availability.
Alot more customizable with furniture, stocks and rails.
Reliable.
Easy to maintain.
Suppressor ready.
Come in a very nice shade of HK Black.
And accepts a drop in binary trigger.
You can have fun at the range with the SP5 while you hunt for your perfect Mark 23.![]()
Welcome to the site brother!I think I’d take the SP5. I’ve got a USP 45T, and I LOVE that gun. Hard to think that I could top it with a Mk23 (I know that there are plenty of people who might disagree, and I’ve never fired one, but I know I love that USP). I also have an unconverted HK94, and I think that if I could get an SP5 I’d leave the 94 in stock condition. I want to send it to TSC but I keep finding excuses not to!
Thank you! I’m glad I found this site. By random Google happenstance, no less!Welcome to the site brother!

Lol- I’d sure like to take a Mark 23 for a test drive and see if you’re right. All I know is that my USP45T is virtually like a John-Wick-style movie gun. It’s almost embarrassing how accurate my shots are with it.Welcome to the site--- the USP45FSt is the next best thing to the Mark 23.
