SP5 or Mark23 choice

If you had to choose between the SP5 or Mark 23, which would it be and why?
Loaded question!
opposite end of the spectrum!
9mm vs .45!
do you have one or the other? You really need both!
if I had to choose one and only one…. The MARK23 with an older date code and Roll Marks.
the why’s : Simple….
Legacy gun.
Heavily tested.
its a .45.
uber dependable!

you can say the same for the SP5… just change the .45 to 9mm…. But you need both.

Mark 23--- rigorously tested, sidearm of the Apocalypse, and overall bad arse--- especially with a KAC suppressor. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
A much more pleasurable shooter. ;)

I agree you need both for sure. 👍🏻
But I would go with an SP5 first if you dont have either of them.
They have super fast target acquisition with 30-40 rounds of freedom to deploy per mag.
A much broader spectrum of optic availability.
Alot more customizable with furniture, stocks and rails.
Reliable.
Easy to maintain.
Suppressor ready.
Come in a very nice shade of HK Black.
And accepts a drop in binary trigger.
You can have fun at the range with the SP5 while you hunt for your perfect Mark 23. 🤘😎

That can also be said for the MARK23 as well, minus the binary trigger.
as for accessories, an adapter will eliminate any obstacles.

Tough choice for sure. My vote would be the SP5. Like others have said, the modularity and aftermarket support wins out for me. Both are awesome though!

I think I’d take the SP5. I’ve got a USP 45T, and I LOVE that gun. Hard to think that I could top it with a Mk23 (I know that there are plenty of people who might disagree, and I’ve never fired one, but I know I love that USP). I also have an unconverted HK94, and I think that if I could get an SP5 I’d leave the 94 in stock condition. I want to send it to TSC but I keep finding excuses not to!

Welcome to the site--- the USP45FSt is the next best thing to the Mark 23. ;)

Lol- I’d sure like to take a Mark 23 for a test drive and see if you’re right. All I know is that my USP45T is virtually like a John-Wick-style movie gun. It’s almost embarrassing how accurate my shots are with it.

I am gonna have to say SP5 it kills me I love to have a Mk23 but a MP5 version I would most likely shoot more and more I would!
