I'm not a bike snob by any means, but after riding the same bike for 20 yrs - it was time for a quality replacement. Likely my last. I splurged and bought a Specialized Cirrus X 5.0. I'm also not a diehard, but given the right circumstances and company, I've been known to get in the occasional 25 mile ride.

Any other cyclists here? What and where are you guys/gals riding these days?

I've been riding my office chair. RockShox [front] were brand new, last time I rode a bike. I'm too old and beat-up, now. I envy those with good joints and youth.

I have a Specialized also. Its prob 25 yrs old. I thought I would ride more at retirement but bike is holding up better than me.

One of my kids started marathon biking and even in my 60s I was keeping up. I had to build a special bike for these trips. Thanks to friends. One who who designed it and gave me a parts set and another who brought me a bike from her yard sale. 20210118_182718.jpg

You ain't kiddin about disc. It would do 33 but I'm big so made a gear that dropped it to 28. 2 cycle can only be run wide open and bike brakes are just adequate.

Got back in the saddle over the summer after letting the bikes collect dust in the garage. Have an Orbea road bike, some 70's Schwinn Paramounts, and a custom Lloyd track bicycle.

I'm trying to lose the Covid 20 I put on last year, hence the need to buy and indoor trainer and drag the thing inside. Not bad for a $100 Amazon product.

Also have a Harley that doesn't get ridden much anymore...
There is a motorcycle thread here somewhere - they love pics of those too. I'm not part of that club though :ROFLMAO:

I just bought a new mountain bike...for my 7yo son. SP5 money, which is rough, but 24" wheels, full suspension, disks, dropper post, and a 26" wheel set and cranks so he'll be riding it until he needs an adult size. Younger son will ride it too. When you live in the mountains and have a trailhead across the street your kids advance pretty quickly.

Not sure I'll buy another one for myself until I'm too old to really need a new one -- assuming of course I survive the civil war. Bought a Yeti SB95 maybe 8-10yrs ago and I can't imagine the new tech is crazy enough to justify a 6 to 10K purchase.

Built the chrome schwinn with the pink wheels for my wife. The olive drab bike with the blue rims is a custom Lloyd frame I built myself. The yellow and orange bike is my Orbea road bike.

Cannondale Super Six Evo.

Looking forward to spring to get back out.

I've lost interest and enthusiasm for cold, wet PNW bike riding.

Nice, I see we will be talking about bike shorts here too shortly. And I don't want to hear anything from the peanut gallery either :LOL::LOL::LOL:
