My buddy just scored a brand new AP5 for $900 and change at his denver LGS. I am gonna get in on that action! This is better pricing that the oringinal ati Imports when they were on sale and no need to do the mods those guns had plus they are pistols not carbines so they are g2g

Is a Zenith better than an MKE?

Zenith imported the MKE MP5's after ATI and before Century. They are currently building their own MP5 clones here in the states. I have yet to come across an unbiased review of them.

I dunno much about the new zenith offering, sorry. The older ones they imported from MKE were on average pretty good if your expectations were in line with reality. But there were still quite a few reports of brand new units that didn't run well or run at all.

My limited experience with MKE was from their ATI import phase and I have had zero issues with my two guns. The paint was shiny and not perfect but for the sub 1k price tag I purchased them for I didn't care. They are now both in SBR configuration and have long since been refinished.

I personally never owned a zenith MKE import nor one of their current offerings. But I surely would like to see an example of what they are building in the flesh and understand a bit more about them and the parts used

@flybynt Yep, would love to know who's flat, who's barrel, any surplus parts, etc? Wonder if they are even building them themselves. Are the mags US made?
