Photos here are from HK's site for the 243, but why are they in the wrong place on HK's website?

I'd say that is a standard G36 with new textured grip as found on the HK243. It has a FA bolt carrier installed and not the new type of bolt carrier as found on the HK243.

I'd go with what is shown on the above link and say it's a G36V with the IDZ upgrades; aluminum optic rail, new convex IDZ stock, extended bolt release, extended ambi-mag release, M-Lok Forearm, and lack of clamp-together features on the mag (that everyone has been bitching about for not being friendly to magazine pouches)... Am I close?

That's sort of my point. It's a G36 being posted on the 243's page. The longer barrel and bayonet lug should also be giveaways.
