I had a .40 USPC many years ago, and for whatever reason, I let it go.
I can get a pretty good deal where I work and plan on ordering a USPC 9mm.
Is there a list of part numbers I can call HK and order to improve the trigger? Part 81000329, V1 (DA/SA) model.
I see that BG offers some parts as well. A "short reset" setup would be great, I've got small hands.
Possibly in the future, I would try the Match LEM 4.1? parts. I have never been able to try an LEM trigger. I predominantly shoot striker guns (M&P, VP9, PDP).
Thanks for the wealth of info.

USP series, is the best overall pistol they've made. I prefer V1. Everything about the setup/design is so intuitive.

Yeah for parts, in addition to the HK Webshop I like

If possible, shoot something LEM first and see what you think. It's a love it or hate it trigger. A lot of people dislike it. Personally, I love it and it's one of my favorite trigger systems.

I have the most time on Glocks. Considering that, the thing I like most about the LEM is the fact it has the same trigger pull every time, somewhat like Glocks do. Less to think about. Initially, with stock LEM, I did have a problem with trigger freeze when shooting fast splits since the reset is a bit long. The Gray Guns short reset kit fixed that for me. Also, alternatively, the 4.1ch kit has the same effect of reducing reset distance while also reducing pre-travel.

If going the LEM route, personally, I'd recommend the late Todd Green's (pistol-training.com) setup. You can see what spring combos that is on the spring reference chart here (listed as V-TGS). This setup is ~1.5-2# heavier than the light LEM (usually ~5.5-6.5#). The reason I like and recommend this is, it increases the weight of pre-travel such that there's much less of a contrast between it and the breaking point. The light LEM is ridiculously light on pre-travel. With the TGS setup, it makes it much easier, IMO, to just pull all the way through without thinking about it.

Thanks for the info. Where do you find the 4.1CH kit?

Crap, I'm sorry I forgot. The 4.1ch kit only works on the P30/P2K series. For some reason, I'm always thinking from the perspective of those two guns. ;) Sorry about that!

The only option I know of to shorten the reset on the USP/USPC is the GG short reset kit I linked previously.

The only other internal mods I can think of, that might interest you, are the GG flat trigger, GG flat/curved trigger, or Volker flat trigger.

OK, thanks. I don't think the triggers would work for me. I've got smaller hands and don't want to have a longer trigger reach.

I got the USP Compact 9 ordered. HK tells me it might take a bit. I'm pretty excited. I ordered the match trigger kit and 45C mag release as well.
