Finally getting around to sending my rifle off to Ed. It's taken a couple years to circle back to this project but I've collected Ed's Stock Block and rails. UMP lowers are plentiful again it seems so off it goes. Not bothering with vents, remarking or barrel cutdown yet. I'll leave it at 16" for now and will just be happy to get rid of that damn thumbhole stock.

The 9mm kits intrigue me. Anyone here shoot a 9mm UMP?

Sounds like a solid move sending it off to HDPS—those conversions can really transform the feel of the USC. From what I’ve seen, most people go that route once they’ve gathered the key parts like the stock block and UMP lower, since it saves a lot of trial-and-error. The biggest upgrade is usually ergonomics and mag compatibility, especially ditching that thumbhole stock.

Definitely keep the thread updated when it comes back—always cool to see how these builds turn out and what route others take with barrels, markings, or calibers.

I sent one to Black Ops. Took forever. I got it fast, once I requested it be returned with a refund. I did the other myself, on a friend's mill.
