I paid about $150 in parts to finish out a lower red P2000 frame. I already had a couple of P2000's for a donor slide.

Interesting AE date coded spare frame; serial number inside the frame. Wonder what the history of these spares; were these factory rejects?

The frame serial number would normally be on the metal plate forward of the trigger guard for an '05, right?

If yes, anybody seen them inside the frame in the barrel channel before?

Something else I noticed - looks like 'Heckler & Koch" above the metal plate and 'Sterling VA' below.

So imported by HK, exported, and then reimported by EPS and the serial number scrubbed off the metal plate at some point?

Make any sense?
