Pondering the idea...
Specifically, what silencer, locking piece, and type of ammo do you use?
One HK specialist Gunsmith, advised me because of the short barrel the HK 53 was not intended to be suppressed. Said the HK 33K was okay for suppressor use.
All insights are appreciated!

I hear the oss coaxial flow through suppressors work well on the hk guns due to reduced backpressure and no need for a minimum barrel length or fa rating of the can.

Im going to try one that Ralph at rdts has and I will let ya know for sure.

That sounds like badass goodness my friend, can't wait to hear how it works! Much appreciated!

Howdy All... ok it's been awhile... anyone has their HK53 suppressed? - I still like to supress mine. Thanks!

The only thing I can add is that my V53 SBR receiver becomes an absolute nasty filthy pig sty when using a suppressor; probably why I haven't taken this gun to the range in nearly 15 years. If I don't use a suppressor, the huge fireballs and loud reports tends to piss off anyone within 20 feet; hence why I purchased a suppressor after the first outing. Now that I think of it, I've only shot this gun three maybe four times and that was way back in 2009. Shame on me.

TF thanks for sharing, what a blast from the past! Now they have all those "high flow through" can designs... the best exact mount(s) and LP used is also important for me to gauge if it's all worth it etc. Thanks again!

I have a nice 1:7 twist HK53 barrel that I'd like to use to convert my HK93 into a HK53 platform; this for using my 75gr pet loads for use with my suppressor. I also have a minty 1:7 HK33 barrel that might win out over a HK53 as my choice for a HK33 conversion instead. If I recall, my V53 SBR has a 1:12 twist, so I'm forced to use 45-55gr bullets only, otherwise the bullets are tumbling ass over tea kettle into the target at 100 yards. A 55gr bullet is virtually impossible to bring down to a pseudo-subsonic level where the report is mild and most importantly, can operate the action. I've found that Delayed Roller Lock rifles need a fairly high pressure to operate the action reliably, therefore my pet subsonic loads I use between my G36K, Colt M4 6933 & V53 all have varying powder charges.
