First post. Having a hard time deciding whats better for me, LEM kit or Match kit.

I have a 1995 USP 9 (and yes, I know I need another trigger rebound spring because it is pre-2005) and want it to perform as close to my VP9 as possible when it comes especially to trigger reset. I will most likely configure it with a light trigger pull as well. Im looking for anyone who has experience with both kits (or either) that could possibly lead me in the right direction? Thanks!

As a sidenote, I personally like quick resets and short pulls. If Im missing anything else, please let me know because im unchartered territory here. (I know about Gray guns, but I talked with the owner and what Im seeking is not what they can do with their short reset system, alone)

As close to a VP9 as possible will be a light LEM trigger with a nickel sear (flat) spring. The match kit is designed for a DA/SA gun which is totally different than a VP9. You will need the following parts (at the minimum) to convert a stock 1995 USP to LEM:

LEM kit, part #260204
New-style catch, part #50219442
Match (nickel) flat spring, part # 215691

Use your stock hammer and trigger return springs instead of those that come with the LEM kit and you will have one of the best triggers that HK offers using factory parts.

For an improved trigger pull, you can also change to the newer (light) firing pin block spring but his will also necessitate a new firing pin, firing pin block, and firing pin spring for an older USP. I personally wouldn't bother with this unless your old-style firing pin needs to be replaced, but here are the part numbers for this:

New-style firing pin, part #202624
New-style firing pin block, part #50209313
New-style firing pin spring, part #50214190
Light FPBS, part #50209296

Most excellent information. 😀

LEM/MATCH HYBRID
@TooSixy

I'm not personally a fan (due to the overtravel screw), but here's the lowdown on that variant:

Thank you guys! This is the information I needed and I really like the linked thread breakdown of the installation on the LEM/Match trigger. Super informative and the added picture steps are gold.

From what I gather, the Match Trigger is the least favorable, on its own, of the 3 (LEM, Match, LEM/Match Hybrid?) BTW, Im not competing with this USP, I just want a good trigger in it that is better than the stock trigger. I do have a match trigger in a USP45 Expert with the overtravel screw in it that I do like, but I honestly, I dont know if its a hybrid or not. I never took the time to fully check it. I probably should (y)
