Extra mag with me and another in center console of my vehicle. In addition I carry an OLIGHT Warrior Mini 2 tactical flashlight (1750 lumens w/ strobe) and POM pepper spray.
Dang! 20 rounds in a 45? What’s your carry setup and how hard is it to conceal?Less magazine carry now that I have the Promag 20-rounder--- and it actually works.

You definitely have my attention!

Private citizens reload in approximately 1/2 of one percent of shooting incidents (3/482).
I didn’t read the article, but I have always said and believed, if I was ever in a situation where a firearm was needed, it would be over in approximately 3 to 4 rounds tops. But in the event I managed to survive that long, an extra mag would be greatly appreciated.Haven't read this whole thread but the conversation about civilian reloads during gunfights came up on another forum recently and this link was shared, in the context of someone questioning the need to carry a spare mag (or a semiauto v. revolver): https://thinkinggunfighter.blogspot.com/2012/03/self-defense-findings.html
So even if you're unlucky enough to get into a gunfight in the first place it's highly unlikely that you'd need a reload.
The article is from 2012 however - pre-zombie/clown world - so you may need to adjust your expectations accordingly. Still, it made me feel better about not carrying a spare mag most days.

I agree with you 100%.Have any of you ever been held up at gunpoint, shot at, or been in a gunfight? If not I think your opinion will change if that ever comes to pass on ALWAYS carrying an having extra mag or ammo.
