I'm not a 1911 fan, but couldn't find a really small, full-power pistol with a hammer. My FFL gave it to me to try. If I didn't like it, give it back.
I haven't returned it...but bought big-dot sights and grips for it.
It's plenty accurate, bucks a bit, and all the weight is in your hand. If I ever need it, I won't notice any of those things. I practice drawing the hammer with my thumb, as I draw. I'm not a fan of cocked and locked, and keep one in the pipe at all times.
