Maybe it is just random but starting to see SP5Ls pop up again. Fresh batch imported or leftover stock? Would not have thought there was enough of a demand for more to be brought in.

Anyone in the dealer/distributor bidness have any insight?

@Crash I noticed that too. On occasion, I toy with the idea of either turning my SP5L into an SD or selling it. So I check GB for pricing and availability. Where there was once only 1 or 2 for sale - now there is a full page.

Good question

I was ready to buy one at a local gun store back in January but could not because I did not have my Alabama residence yet. By the time I went back it was sold. It was on offer for 2k.
I really wanted it. Looked for another one for 6 months then gave up.
The trigger was horrible though.

While the MP5 trigger is nothing to write home about, the SP5L is no worse than the SP5 or SP5K/PDW. It can always be sent to Bill Springfield and he'll fix it right up. Even install a flat trigger if that's your cup of tea.

call me crazy – I keep thinking about putting a SP5L barrel on a 94 - it's a great varmint gun but I want to use a can

have the barrel from a SD build

To Whom It May Concern....

There is 1 left and I decided to pass...it is tax free if you are outside Texas.
