I'd love to have a few belts of new M80A1 ammo, but not at this 'crazy' price. Was a bit curious as to how much this would cost per second on HK21E if sustained F/A (800 Rnds/Min) rate; considering it would only take 13.33 seconds to piss away this little belt of 100 rounds that sold for $894 + $35 added shipping. If I ever come across a belt of this ammo, it'd forever just collect dust on my display shelf in the man cave. OBW, another belt of 100 has been relisted if any big spenders here...

And this is why I don't own any belt feds any more... Just can't afford to feed them.

I work with a guy, ex-Army aviation. He was telling us stories about getting guys checked out on the door mounted mini-guns. Said it was noting to burn thru 45000 rounds.
He also said they joked that the mini-gun barrels were 99 cents a piece.

I had no idea belted ammo was so expensive. I've got a 100 round belt of that stuff. Not that AP ammo, just plain FMJ with a tracer every 5 rounds. Ive had it for years. Headstamp is LC 84 with a cross in a circle (NATO).

Last April I joked about taking up arts and crafts to my friends during the first lockdown. Told them I was making a "belt". Maybe I should post that thing up on GB!!!

I've sat & watched a guy @ Knob Creek shoot his Mini Gun & had a pile of brass six feet high & more links laying out on a tarp than you could even imagine
Back then we figured like $200+ per second, Didn't take that sucker long to "Roll Threw" a 1000 round can.. 58 rounds per second??

That is awesome--- twilight would have had a better effect. ;)

On my bucket list is to make it to Knob Creek or Big Sandy events someday. Would love to participate with my MM23E/21E as I have tons of tracer bullets needing an excuse to be loaded. Seeing that minigun in action (or any nightime MG tracer fire) must be jaw-dropping (to say the least)...

KCR is 20 minutes away & have been to the night shoot many times
The gunshow is the real spectacle. Bring a garbage bag of money
Rent a mule on the way out, About a two mile walk otherwise, When carrying a couple thousand rounds
Pay $5 & get a ride..
That video shows a different perspective than when you are behind the line of fire
The lights far away are across the Salt River in West Point KY, I used to live there..
That M134 is one bad mother

This is exactly how firearms are regulated, then Tax. Divide and Conquer.
Raise the price so only the Elite shall have access.

Ok....except in this case it was private folk driving up the price, not the .gov or the so called "Elite".

This current squeeze on ammo is entirely consumer driven.

Looks like I'll need to change the title of this thread in 5 days ($$ per second). Current bid on the last lot of this ammo is at $1125.00 with 5 days yet to go. That's just nuts.

I quit looking at Ammo/primer prices on GB when I saw a flat of 5,000 SPP sell for $1,500!! People are nuts!!

Make me wish I’d packed more away but I’m ok with what I’m sitting on, just admit my shooting frequency for now

I can believe anything now..
Just saw a $450,000.00 P7 PSP
HaHaHaHaHaHaHa!!!
If it's one of you all, I say you're a DREAMER..

Yeah but it's the ultra uber rare PSP that Gen. Erwin Rommel carried in North Africa. The ad says so.
