My FFL has sold PTR for years. My observations have been that their QC has been decent with a spotty record. Not often, but he has sent a few back that I know of. Overall, it seems okay. I can honestly say that I've only sent one HK back for a repair. The safety broke on one of my P9's. I can't say it wasn't broken by another person, as several people were shooting it that day.
I’ve got one of the PTR 601-9CT’s and it runs flawless with multiple trigger packs. Several friends have them and run them full but one guy did have an out of spec BCG and PTR had a fit when we called them up stating it was bad. They said if it worked as a stock semi auto firearm as they sold it then they really didnt seem to care as they weren’t making machine guns. That one really pissed me off
I don't think any mfr really likes people messing with their products. It's the same with cars. That was pretty blunt, though.I’ve got one of the PTR 601-9CT’s and it runs flawless with multiple trigger packs. If it ever happens again give me a shout, I have a few of all the P9S parts that usually don't break......The safety broke on one of my P9's. I can't say it wasn't broken by another person, as several people were shooting it that day.
bingoFigures.
Doesn't say much about the faith in their product.

I purchased one of the first PTR's 91- Farmingdale. Was perusing Reddit just now and came across a letter that was posted by a user 2 months ago. I do recall quite a few threads discussing various locking piece configurations. What do they expect you to affix to that 3 lug on the end of their PTR-9CT? Any experience out there?

I believe that it might have said that in the paperwork...however I shot the piss out of it , tracers included, never a a jam caused by the PTR ! Also ,was compatible with many Genuine German HK parts. Early PTR was the best for me . I sold the rifle at a profit.
