I have attempted to post videos I've taken on this site but have not figured out how to do it.
Can anyone help this old Marine?
 
Correct. I've been trying since joining. Lots of my images are too large, also. No sweat, just don't post.
 
Right Click Over the Video Copy Video URL Then Paste It in the forum post & Presto it's there..
Just did it to one of James Videos Here.. Lets see!!

Dedicated servers with SSD storage aren't cheap. That being said, It's possible that the last software upgrade overrode some of our custom settings (it does seem kind of stingy to me now that I'm looking at it).

@Manofdusk What size video are you trying to upload? We might loosen the reigns a bit.

It was a 29 second slow motion video, not sure what size it was. It's all good. I understand completely it isn't cheap to keep this place going and I appreciate the opportunity to participate.

It's not our intention to discourage videos, there are some defaults in place that are probably too low. I had increased the max size at one point to satisfy some issues early on - but they seem to have been reset. If you can right click on the file and click on 'properties' it should give you a file size. That would be helpful.

I have nothing of so much value, interest wise....that I would expect it to cost the owners of the site to be equipped to handle large/personal stuff.

Then your gonna have to use a third party site. Like Vimeo or imagen. I understand about YouTube and your concerns. But there are many ways to imbed a video into your threads. Ymmv.
