Ok, I’ve read a lot and perhaps I’m not as bright as I used to be, but there seems to be a lot of steps (and expense) into creating something close to an MP5K. So much so, and with so many “wordy” explanations, that getting it done gets lost in the weeds. At least for me. So I’m going to ask this question in a specific way:

If I have an HK clone (MAC 5K in this case) and I wanted to convert is LEGALLY into a machine gun, what do I need to purchase and what needs to be the “registered” part?

I don’t need everything to have an HK stamp on it (not a purist), but I’m not opposed to having HK OEM components either. I’m just looking to have a functional and legal MP5K style toy. It just seems exceptionally complex, of which I’m certain was the intent of the NFA, GCA 68, and GCA86. I haven’t seen anyone who has posted a basic “step by step” process yet. I know how to do the paperwork portion, just the components required to build it seems to be my issue.

Like I said. Maybe it’s me just being the FNG.

Are you a Class 2 SOT? If not this would be the first thing you would need to do then you would need to form 2 the receiver. The ATF has ruled that any firearm imported with a receiver restriction block cannot be removed unless the receiver is form 2 As a post sample machine gun.

The other option would be to purchase a Transferable sear Then install a modified Carrier.
