yeah, that "magazine kit" loophole was closed===== As of July 1, 2017, under SB-1446

32310.
(d) For purposes of this section, "manufacturing" includes both fabricating a magazine and assembling a magazine from a combination of parts, including, but not limited to, the body, spring, follower, and floor plate or end plate, to be a fully functioning large-capacity magazine.

now, it's up to you if you want to send that so called "kit"......but I damn sure wouldn't

Feel free. It's too late for me, save yourselves.
There's a black Suburban with a bunch of antennas on the roof parked in front of my house.

That was me. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

@ghoulardi

Upon reading the Act, I interpret it as only being illegal to assemble into a functional large-capacity magazine--- not merely possessing the parts. :)
The sender has no control over what happens to the unassembled "kit", once it is received by the recipient--- like sending full auto AK trigger parts. ;)
Anyone notice who the Attorney General was at the time? :unsure:

Trouble is that I advertised it as a hi cap magazine, not parts. Buyer said he'd ship it back. I offered to pay for the return shipping. He was very cool about it.

Negative--- just utilized my legal education and experience, including interpreting statutes and ordinances--- but because it is CA., litigation would need to be pursued. :unsure:
