It was a fun project. It really wasn't terribly difficult, just took a lot of massaging parts to work.

Beautiful Mike, that is a Dream gun for me. I started looking for awhile but got discouraged with GB prices and not knowing what to look for

You have to be very careful when buying higher-priced firearms. This came into my FFL's shop, from the grandson of the original person issued the weapon. It sat in my FFL's safe for about 10 years. On my birthday, about 5 years ago....he gave it to me. He knew I wanted a nice WWII 1911. I was blown-away.

I picked up a straight MP5 mag for my little poodle-shooter.
It's a POF. I dont shoot hollow points so it should be OK.
