"Because Russians". Some great individuals but every time you have to deal with a group of them, trouble. No good for anyone, even themselves. "Always something". Parallel's with the former Yugoslavia.
Stop with this repeating of Russian "Nazi" Propaganda talking points.
Everyone knows about the Azov Battalion, that one pic of a German National Socialist swastika pattern on top of a Ukrainian flag has been beat to death simply because you won't find anything more damning. Understand that both sides have their Nazi admirers and some of it is anti-semitic, not like the Russians have no history of this, but that a lot of the attraction on BOTH SIDES is to the "Nationalist" part of that. Nobody wants to resurrect Hitler or bring back the Third Reich. The Ukrainians welcomed the Germans as liberators from Russian Occupation and it took the Russians 10 years after the war before they wiped out the Ukrainian Resistance to Communist rule, mid 1950's. This drives the outlook on both sides, and you are part of neither. Nor am I. We are not going to "get it", but just accept that the symbology has a history there when it comes to fighting against Russian rule that doesn't translate to us, indeed it's the opposite.
"Do you not understand that Russia went into Ukraine to stop the atrocities of the Ukrainian military against the people of eastern Ukraine that have been happening since 2014?"
No, I don't. I understand that "Russian Separatists" who have been advancing Putin's plans all this time in the region you mention, AKA "Donbas" region, shot down a Dutch airliner a few years back with an A-300 system. Think "Patriot". Civilians always have such equipment. Bullshit. Putin has been talking for years about doing exactly what he is doing, it's not news.
HKProShop isn't normally where you'd come for a lesson in geopolitical reality that applies to us here at home as well, but today is your lucky day.......
See this cat? Dimitri Utkin, retired Lt. Col. of Russian Airborne and the founder of Wagner Group, the fake PMC run by the GRU. Check out the SS runes and rank tattoo'd on the collar bones where they would be on a German M-43 uniform top. Lots of pics of him and "The Chef" with Putin.
This Neanderthalic looking throwback is a Russian POW in Ukrainian custody.
"Russia has experienced more liberty in the past 2 years", blah bah..........AYFKM. If anyone in the USA has been eliminating journalists lately it has escaped my notice. Not that it would bother me overly much. Show me the gun stores. Stand up on the street corner and start talking against Putin and see what happens. ""More freedom", AYFKM.
The irony of a former KGB guy trotting out the "Nazi" thing on us, yet again.......when they were always an even bigger threat, if only because they were bigger......and the cool thing about that is, there's an even bigger threat to THEM......and it's the same threat they paid tribute to 8 centuries ago to keep their language/culture/religion and not be invaded. That's right baby, everything old is new again. We could even say "SSDD". It's not really a pun, more of a play on words with the Nazi thing.
Crayola flavor of the day is.......Red. Because Commies always lie. There. Here. Wherever. It's really all you have to know. Rather than trying to geopolitic your head around this (it doesn't work, it's like one of those math equations from High School that doesn't ever balance out. Can't....) just keep that idea in front of you and you can't be led too far off the path. KISS, remember?
Well, KISS here says, the side that is blowing the fuck out of civilian apartment buildings and putting hundreds of civilians who resisted their invasion in mass graves is "THE BAD GUYS". Women and teens with their hands tied behind their backs with the same pieces of white cloth they were supposed to use to identify themselves as civilians? Women raped and then killed. Rape not enough obviously.
Do you actually know anyone involved? I do. In Kharkiv, RFN. "Chris Bird" is the Rockabilly King of the Ukraine, arguably Europe as well. He like other military age Ukrainian men is doing his part, he was never military and so is assigned to non-combatant duties. In Kharkiv that means retrieving thousands of bodies and burying them. You ever have 60 days of suck like that in the .mil? I was a grunt and I didn't either. Add fours years of contracting in Iraq and still not.
This is from 8-9 years ago.
Germany 2019, the year before COVID hit.
