I keep going back and forth regarding rails. Yes, they are pretty handy when you want to mount a optic, but if you don't, there is that ugly ass rail ruining the scenery.

The finished product. well, almost. I test fired it. I'ts a little finicky. I think I need to sloppy up the mag fit a little. The mag fits tight up into the magwell. I still don't know if I want to weld the rail on the top. I think I'm going to paint it burnt bronze. What do you guys think about a rail and burnt bronze with black furniture?

Nice work--- yes on the color and rail. ;)

Very nice!

I'd be interested to see how it looks in burnt bronze as well.

I have a K to finish up and was thinking of a non-black color myself.

I'm going to put a rail on. I want an optic, My old eyes will love it. If I end up not liking it I'll cut it off and refinish it.

I'm not a rail guy myself!!!

I've done quite a bit of parkerizing. The hardness of the steel determines how black it gets. I have never seen this happen before. the wetness is a water rinse after the acid bath.

That came out real nice, I like it!

I'm going to spray paint mine gold and see how it looks 🤣 , I gotta put some finish on it while it waits. Will probably be awhile till I file the form 1 and get it engraved, I'll bead blast it off before then.

I wonder how the KG compares to the burnt bronze Moly Resin....
