MP5A3 1986 manufacture date question

Came into possession of an IG dated MP5A3 from a department. C3245xx

A man can dream, but how do I go about seeing if it is a Pre May or a Post Sample?

My guess would be a post-86--- I have C324441 in the data as being a postie.
When was it transferred to the department?

the thing I know about MGs/ NFA item is that there has to be a ATF form 4 that will have the dated when it was transfer to the PD from HK or a SOT.......yes, even PDs have to have to have those NFA forms, the only difference it would be a tax free transfer to the PD.

Bummer, the department purchased it May/June 1987. I guess that means you are not going to find too many made in March/ April of 1986 either as it takes time after they are manufactured to be transferred.
