Go Look at the production date in the drivers door & let me know.. HaHa!!
The 71 & 72 Super Beetle had a flat windshield = No Dash & smaller rear tail lights
IIRC those rear lights came into existence in 1973
In 1975 it would have only one tail pipe = Fuel injected
73 & 74 are hard to tell apart BUT??
I used to manage a Import Auto Parts Store Called WIP Imports
Everyone there had a VW Mine was a 1966 6 Volt European Type 1
That's been 35 years now but I am pretty sure about that..
I now have a 2003 Convert on it's way to the salvage yard SOON!!

I can't see well enough on my screen to be sure. IF THE BUMPER IS THE LARGER ENERGY ASSORBING AND THE HEADREST ON THE SEAT BACK IS SQUARE, IT'S A '74. If the headrest is round on top, it's a '73

I'm not losing my mind YET!!
Love the G8 rifle BTW
You're right! I've had this bug since 2015 and have never registered or tagged it. It's runs pretty good for a bug, I've had it up to 70 mph on the highway in my rural area. We bought it for an EMP proof vehicle. I've also got a '70 GMC 2500, a '72 Ford F100 ranger and 2 '74 Ford Rancheros. But I like my HKs for an EMP event!
