Good Day

My name is AJ. Based in Johannesburg area. I had a USP compact which I sold before I went to work overseas.

I am back in RSA and I seek a HK45 - (not HK45c)

Where could I buy this pistol new?

Greetings from USA (Northern Utah); welcome to this site.
Hope that someone can help you find a local gun shop in the Johannesburg SA area. What are the gun laws like there that allow for someone to purchase/possess a handgun ane/or rifle? Curious as to what other country' laws as to restrictions on guns are; access to guns/ammo/magazines/reloading, etc.
Again, welcome.

Abrie,

Welcome to the site. :)
Good luck on the HK45. ;)
Maybe contact HK GmbH to see if there are any authorized dealers in SA:

Thank you and great to meet you. Citizens are allowed to own semi automatic pistols and rifles under South African gun laws. Gun owner first needs a gun license(issued by police) and competency certificate. Gun competency training needs to be done at gun owner’s cost - fat government. Security companies may own automatic weapons, but face crippling admin. Gun license takes long to obtain(months to sometimes years) - simply because the police admin systems are in shambles and have been since Mandela and his terrorist gang took over. Private citizen caught with unlicensed automatic rifle faces a life sentence in prison(25 years). Exceptions to that are the left wing friends of the government, who can pose with their Chinese AK-47s on social media - no action taken against them. My family is from the Protestant Afrikaner subculture who fled France(French Hugenots) in 1688 and settled in the Cape. We grew up with guns and knifes and I was taught to shoot at age 3, so I consider weapons are part of my identity…Specifically HK

Can I ask why you're still there? "Kill de Boer" and all that....
Apologies for the delay in response. I had a harrowing introduction to Bilharzia…All good and cured now, thanks to some German meds.
I am here because this country is where I was born and where my ancestors+us built our culture and everything we own.
If one knows how and when to move around, the chances of getting attacked here are greatly reduced. The onslaught against the (white)minority is *mostly* hidden and driven by and funded by government radicals.
They target white farmer families who are very far from any help.
I you needed to ask for directions, you would likely get a friendlier reaction from any person in the street here in South Africa than you would get in any other country.
I lived in Europe and I can see why my ancestors left that place. I do not wish to live under strict rules and without space and sunlight...
I do not wish to slip over your Southern border and make a burden of myself. Not what we do. Getting into the US legally is not worth the effort...

Hi Tony🙂

No. HK no longer has an official presence in South Africa. Only way to get an HK45 is through rows of middlemen. I won’t buy if it is not a good/reasonable deal…I’m not one of those guys who buys for status, so they won’t be able to manipulate me…They tried…

Regards
AJ

Unless you are focused on .45 ACP, are the Vektor CP1 or SP1 available, or are there any offerings from Mkonto Manufacturing or Truvelo?

CZ75. More than a few down there. Glock or USP Compact. You need a threaded barrel..... ;-)

Seriously, the ammo you take off some floppy is likely to be 9mm, right? 2x as many rounds for the same weight...

No such thing as too many loaded spare mags. I'd be carrying a lot more than 2 in your place. I'd be OK with 6.

Understood. Respect. Good Luck to you all.
