1st Off after having several Heckler & Koch handguns I have a pretty good idea of what most of them are worth
Today while visiting my favorite gun getting place I see a Hk P2000 & asked to see it
It was an AG P2000 in 357 SIG marked $650 with one magazine, no box & a kydex fobus holster, Nothing Else.
Serial # was 124-00067*
The control levers on both sides had turned Plum in Color too, But where tight
Pistol had some wear on the barrel but nothing out of the ordinary
The manager I went to high school with & said they could do better.. Hmmm??
I'm Guessing $600 which is what both my USP Compact 40s Cost Me

Also the ten magazines I have for the pair of USP Compact 40 would also function in the P2000 357 SIG
Plus my USPc Holsters would also work too!

So what do you think out there @ The HKProShop?? Should this be my Next HK?

Tried some searching & came up with nothing except some closed auctions for P2000SK's in 357 SIG

I'm Guessing these aren't made any Longer

It had the smaller backstrap which would be my preference anyhow but a pair of both sizes are available for $50

Absolutely Gary. No brainer for me. I haven’t seen a P2000 .357SIG go for les than $1k in some time. You’ve already had the USPc (never should have sold it 😉) in that caliber so you know how it shoots. You don’t see these pop up everyday. You can pick up a case/manual off of EBay/GB if you want one and the backstraps can be had for around $8 each without the lockout, double that if you want the lockout. (The P2000 comes with 4: S,M,L&XL)You can also replace the control levers for about $25 each if you don’t like the plum. If it’s available for $600 or even the $650…..you march back down there and snatch it up. It took me a couple years to find mine, love it. I’d say it’s your lucky day. Let us know how it turns out, and when you buy it, throw that Fobus holster in the trash. I guess if it is the variant you prefer also plays a role, is it a V3 or V2?

What's the difference in V2 vs V3??
It had the decocker at the rear of the slide & No Control Levers
To Me a V2 is a LH USPc
Inform me..

That’s a V3, DA/SA w/rear decocker. V2 is the LEM (heavy) V1 LEM (light). HK chose not to follow the USP variants numbering for the P series for some reason.

Thanks!
I never knew any of that about the P2000s
HKs are a learning experience every time..
If I had to choose it would be the SA/DA = V3 SO!! (y)

What Really SUCKS is I am currently all but broke BUT I Get paid Wednesday & Can put it on Lay-A-Way for 10% down
It would make a GR8 Christmas Gift for the Thrifty HK Guy = ME!!

Hope no one else sees it before Wednesday Morning, It's sitting with a bunch of Glocks & S&W M&Ps 10 feet from the customers where you can barely see, I asked " Is That an Hk P2000?? " She says Yes it Just came out.. Looks like a Glock from far away
Had my glasses on or I wouldn't have even seen it + I didn't even grab my wallet when We left, So I had my Son give his ID to see it & then being I know the Manager I just asked to get the serial # & Date Code = AG #124- & Then She said it stays cocked & being it had a trigger lock on it wouldn't decock so she removed the lock & handed it over to me anyhow, I just pressed the decocking lever & the hammer fell as it should, The barrel's end had the moon markings fairly well as it should being USED & one 12 round 357 magazine & the two slide release levers where Plum, Reminded me of the P7M8's slide I used to have with the Mill Mark.. And Yeah a Fobus Holster, I have 4-5 leather holsters for the P2000/USPc.. I'm going to sell some stuff & the polymer HK holsters are one of those eBay things, I also found a Sterling P7M8/P7M13 manual & green book of how to take them apart = Pre Internet Stuff..
I have a Doctors appointment @ 9:00am tomorrow morning, Might have to stop there afterwards to try an save the P2000
Hope it Doesn't Get Away From Me!!
Gary the Thrifty Hk Guy! Pew Pew HaHa!!

And Now a Question that I should have asked, Will a USP Compact 40 S&W Barrel fit in the 357 SIG P2000
I know it's longer but not by much

Ugh, tough break and a missed opportunity especially at that price. Oh well, wasn’t meant to be I guess.

Thanks Mo
BTW My Son offered to buy Me that gun yesterday, BUT I didn't want him spending his money on it..
Then there would be the ammo shortage + it being 357 SIG

Need to come up with a Logo & Have some Hats & T-Shirts Made for HkProShop
Maybe the S should be a german SS or KISS S?? Hmmm??
I found a Gray case for the Early USPc & have it and a manual coming plus a Galco Leather Paddle holster
Paid Too Much for the case BUT??
I'll start a thread about it in the USP Section
Gary

Here's a Link to Gunbroker = Hk P2000 357 SIG with 40 S&W Barrel & four 12 round magazines
Auction is up too $605 currently, How high will it go..
Heckler & Koch HK P2000 V3 357 Sig / 40 S&W - 2 Barrels & 4 Mags
I won't be bidding as the house taxes are due + Christmas & Thanksgiving
Gonna Guess $1000 being the pistol is worth $800, The extra Barrel $200 & two extra magazines = $60

Here's the HkProShop Logo I came up with
Gary
