P2000 357 SIG Questions

I traded for my USPc9 with night sights a little over a year and a half ago. Don't recall what I traded but I'm sure the trade was in my favor. If I had to guess I probably had less than $500 into that trade. The complete 40 S&W slide cost me $400 with some mags. Enhanced mag release paddles was $25. Night sight were probably around $100. The RCM 357sig barrel was $175. And the talon-style grips were less than $10. Oh, and the flat base plate was less than $10. So I have around $1200 in my 3-n-1 caliber USPc.

I haven't shot a ton of 357sig through the RCM barrel but what I have shot was balls-on accurate. Don't know how much better a $1700 or $1800 USPc357 would shoot. Can't imagine it shooting $500-$600 better, especially with only being the one caliber.

I guess I'm pretty satisfied with my deal. :)

It's a $650 Handgun in an odd caliber that's why it sold for $1836.11
USPc357 sold last night for $1700

I bought one of these for $350 20 years ago
Another sold this morning for $2000.

You did well for yourself no doubt. The factory .357 Sig barrel can be had for $192, I’d choose that over the RCM but that’s just me and the factory barrels aren’t always available, but they are now. As silly as it may seem, a factory .357 Sig matters to some (I’m one, took me quite a bit of searching and patience to get all 3 models, but the search as frustrating as it can be is part of the twisted fun). Does it shoot any different? Absolutely not. But there is something to be said for having a from factory original vs. another model with a drop in barrel etc. I know that not everyone gets it or agrees, it is what it is and one will do the same as the other….it is the same but it isn’t. At least to me. I’ve passed up many that I felt were more than I wanted to pay, but people will pay for the factory original as evidenced by the prices the USPc, P2000, and P2000SK sell for.

@Deputydave The Factory USPc357 barrel in a USPc40 will shoot exactly the same as the factory USPc357
They are exactly the same parts including the magazines, Just marked different..
The USPc357 I had I acquired a Factory 40 barrel for because of ammo prices of the 357 SIG + availability

I figured it would be that way. I'm surmising that except for the logo, the RCM barrel is going to be pretty much the same thing for a few bucks less.

I just bought a 9mm conversion barrel for my Glock 35. From a vendor that gets production over-runs on various gun parts. This barrel is suppose to be a non-logo stamped Lone Wolf barrel. OTD it was only $110.

The HK web shop has a couple of dozen or so USPc 357sig barrels in stock. Price works out to just about $200 with a coupon: https://us.hkwebshop.com/hkstorefront/hk/en/Handgun-Parts/Slide-Parts/USP357-Compact-Barrel/p/217813

I grabbed one and a stripped slide from Numrich (which interestingly doesn't have the HK rollmark on the left side). Ordered a few other small parts, dipped into my box of spare parts and sights, grabbed some 357sig mags for $22 each and I now have a full 357sig top end to pop onto my USPc 9mm. The hardest .40/357sig part to find was the recoil assembly (and the recoil spring in particular), which I ended up piecing together. How is it that the USPc 40 recoil springs are more or less unobtainable? I couldn't find them anywhere.

The most ridiculous part of this whole adventure is that I only undertook it because a local guy was selling 1500rds of 357sig for 50cpr. :ROFLMAO:
