I found this group shot of a few of the rifles. Some were always on display at my FFL's shop....so never together. I also have to dig thru my old 35mm pictures. I have a picture of one of my safes, with 5, 550's and 3, 551's in it. I had the SIGness.

Yeah, I know a bit about SIG rifles. The guy who bought my pictured one, took it out shooting and the Quakerneck tag fell off. The glue [[get a load of that] had dried out. He came back, bitching how I had ripped him off...and sold him a Benet rifle. I offered him a refund, and told him that he needed to educate himself about stuff he was doing. I told him to get some good glue, and stick it back on....or I'd refund him[minus 10% for having shot it]. It's not my job to try to give people a 20 year/personal experience-education on things. Other than paperwork, I don't own a single 510 series thing that I can think of. I'm DONE with that part of my life.

Dang. You made me look at an 11k gun that I could not afford it in 60s when they were ~$550

Lol. We knew, but a new GTO was about 3k back then. At $1.60/ hr, it was going to take a lot of hours.

That's a fair price for that rifle[no test target]. Being a SIGARMS import[that manual is a dead give-away], that rifle was one of the last ones imported. I bought a NIB one from a local dealer in the early 90's. Of the 6-8 AMT's I had, it was the only SIG import. They were the only ones imported with a flash-hider, also. The problem is, the mags are about 500 bucks apiece, now. I had 20 extras that I sold about 4-5 years ago for 350 each. People laughed, back when I bought them for 75-100 bucks apiece.
Also, the finish on the metal of the late guns, isn't nearly as nice as the early ones. It's more like the military 510-4 parts-kits from Chile.

If anyone knows where I can get STGW57 mags, and a wood furniture set I'd appreciate it. Gb has a few mags but they are 100 and up

PE/STGW 57's had black rubber furniture. AMT's and 510-4's had wood. The days of those parts flying around and inexpensive.... are long gone. It's funny, as it's always supply and demand. With the AMT's being the most imported SIG, the mags are in demand. However, it cost a bunch more to make the extruded aluminum 24-rnd mags of the 57.....and they're very few of those rifles around. Those mags were always 20-25% the cost of AMT mags.

The buttstock may work, but the front of those rifles are different. Here's some of the 510's. There was a 7.62X39 and a 308 version, as well [besides the 510-4].

Welcome to the site--- SIG PE57 magazines (24-round) will cost $100.00-$150.00--- SIG AMT magazines (20-round) will be $350.00-$450.00--- I am not aware of "factory" wood furniture for the SIG PE57.
