Say 'hello' to my little friend. I wasn't looking for this but it came up at a price I couldn't resist. I also have an earlier Zenith Z-5RS that I'll compare it to. It came with the sight and brace. Is there anything in particular that I should look for when I take this for a walk?

Might check you extractor spring. I was having FTE's during the break in.
Spring was partially bent, replaced it and everything worked great.
They are nice guns in my experience.

yeah, that's what I found out those things, what their achilles heel is. unlike other rifles where a jam doesn't put the rifle out of commission, HK went with a cheap and garbage "cotter pin" spring for their extractor, god knows why 🙄. so much for the myth of "German engineering"

you might want to buy a couple of extractor "springs" just in case

I took it out for a stroll a couple of weeks ago and it didn't seem to be going into battery during first shot. All following shots all went well. I need to look into it and see if anything stands out at me.

I have one and (knock on wood) I havent had issues. I do know I need to put me a spare parts box together. Dont know why I havent yet, I have 3 big spare parts boxes for all my ARs so you would think I would have done so already.
