Got my BNIW 3 MP5SD receivers and my BNIW MP5K PDW receiver today....did the bolt and carrier drops and they all glide like they are on glass. Tried my factory HK MP5SD suppressor on the barrels and they are 18x1mm threads which makes me happy.....here they are AND my MP5 pile....including the 63 factory HK MP5 mags....my name is John and I have an MP5 addiction......

Oh and the belt fed plus the Vector 93K wouldn’t fit in the pic.....

I’m planning to fab my own SD suppressor then shoot the hell out of it. If it works well, I’ll build 2 more. I’m on the fence bout the K as to what I’ll do.

Overall I don’t “need” 4 BNIW receivers plus the other parts to build 2 regular MP5s so I need to decide what I want to do.

Very nice--- I thought that the SWD SD barrels would be 18x1 (M). ;)

Well....the tap was ordered alone with 3 pieces of 6061 aluminum tubing. I went with 1 1/2” OD and a .063” sidewall. I know I know the originals as 40mm (1.572) but I’m not paying a pile more for .072 of OD lol

My plan is to make a sealed construction suppressor. My tough one is-mono core or k baffles? Oh wait....I could do one of each and then see what one works better...

Ok as requested here are the results of this evenings 3 1/2 hrs in the machine shop....I have the suppressor tube to length, my threaded mount done, and the mono-core is turned and drilled....all 8.25” of it!! That took a little bit of time....I hope tomorrow afternoon/evening I can get the core baffles machined in and then get it welded, skim turn the OD and finish it off with a light knurl for grip.

I may or may not have done a quick “Gov’t” job this morning at work engraving the info and serial number on it and yes.....I used the same serial number as the host gun I’m putting it on :)

Well now.... that opens up a whole new conversations!!!!
You know what I am going to ask... so why even ask? 😂

My MARK23 has a matching serial# to the suppressor.
I would love to have matching serial#’s and suppressors to some of weapons! ;););)

I put the core on a “weight loss plan” this afternoon. Test fit all looked good and now it’s cooling off from the welding from final assembly. When it cools I’ll do a couple quick cleanup passes in the lath and it’ll be test fire time.

I plan to use my pre sample SD with its original suppressor then I’ll use the
FBU-SD suppressor. Yes I’ll have someone take a video of them one right after the other to see the noise difference....I’m nervous and excited....more to follow....
