There is a little bit of a difference on semi but on full it’s very comparable. I’m happy with it being my first AND for what the materials cost me.
I put the core on a “weight loss plan” this afternoon. Test fit all looked good and now it’s cooling off from the welding from final assembly. When it cools I’ll do a couple quick cleanup passes in the lath and it’ll be test fire time.
I plan to use my pre sample SD with its original suppressor then I’ll use the
FBU-SD suppressor. Yes I’ll have someone take a video of them one right after the other to see the noise difference....I’m nervous and excited....more to follow....
All cleaned up, polished and I even put a light knurl on it. Now to build out the host gun and get it tuned....more will follow....
Got the host gun all squared away. Test fired 5 rounds with a semi auto pack and it was fine. Gonna go to the range and see what happens. What’s the worst that’ll happen? I blow the suppressor apart and have to start over?
Oh the joys of being an SOT...lol
Well good news/bad news-
good news is the host shot perfectly.
bad news-the weld didn’t penetrate properly and I could see where they were starting to separate. Need to look at changing a few things.
It happens...it easily fixable....glad you caught it b4 final prep and paintWell good news/bad news-
