I mostly accumulate stuff I like, not necessarily one thing. I have some Valmets (7.62x39 only), a handful of Belgian FALs, Colt ARs, a few milsurps, and some sporting guns that are either family heirlooms or guns I actually use.

I'll see if I still have a pic. That was years and many hard drives ago! If I don't still have one I'll dig the shotgun out and take a new one, but that will be a while yet.

No rush--- older Parkers are neat. :giggle:

Finn's

<a href=" "><img src=" " title="source: imgur.com" /></a>

They gathered the dregs of WW1 refurbished the long M91's and started the civil guard which established a Nation wide shooting program .Then than bought Surplus M-91's and European barrels to create and National system of Civil Guard units with a uniform training program. the 91/30 was from the Finnish Civil War 1919 to the 1920's. Trigger improvement a Belgian barrel and a stacked front tight to work with the 1905 ARSHIN conversion the the D-166 bullet and overall better training. There were about 7000 28/30s made in three runs not sequential.

My sample is not D marked for the D-166 ogive chamber change to all Russian capture guns. The D-166 is FMJ rebated tail at 200g. It flew well. Killed in the in skilled hands. The Russians were ill supplied with 147G .311" loaded on trucks behind formation on the only two roads in the front North of Lake Ladoga. 60.000 Finn's cut up 480,000 Russians led by the survivors of Stalin's purge of the military officer corps in 1936. Ate them at every opportunity as the say 24/7 for 93 days. They were mobile on skies and Crabu sleds. This is when the Russians freed 1,200,0000 + troops from Siberia and half the Russian artillery and swamped the exhausted Finn's. The Karliian from in the NE held back an 86,000 force, three divisions pincer with a rebuilt division of six worn Jagger formations of less the 20K men and supporting artillery with three shells a day. After a devastating Russian barrage by 40,000 guns of all calibers.

Stalin was detracted by the material loss not the man power. He was focused and against his own people planing an other purge.

This gave the Finn's a moment to count up the score and approach Stalin with a deal. They gave up 10% 0f the Eastern part of the country and three Naval bases along the N Atlantic approach to the only open water port to relief from the west in military equipment. Story goes on foe ever and '41 to '44 the Fins with aid from Germany took back the lake Ladoga area and just held it and didn't go in the Russia proper rubbing the Germans wrong. As the Finn's said at the time Russians the East of me and German's to the Wast it is a target rich environment.

Many Finn's went on the serve in American conflicts. We had two in the Central Highland, crazy suckers.

I just recently took my first step out of the HK world to start slowly working on my AK collection. To start, I picked up an '86 Tula Krink kit that I sent off to Two Rivers to be built. Outside of wanting a few AK variants, I would also like to start picking up some KAC rifles.

My goal is to have a display wall showcasing my favorite AK variants with similar HK counterparts beside them:

AKS-74u - MP5
AS VAL - MP5SD
AK-74 - HK 416
SVD Dragunov - PSG1
RPK-74 - HK21

Unfortunately, I think the AS VAL will remain a pipe dream but I'm working on the rest!
