I'm asking about this, since I found this last night and though the illustration doesn't look like anything HK has made, they're the company to whom the patent has been issued to (specifically HK USA). Is this something that may be being worked at HK USA, or just for illustrative purposes for the gas system that was designed (and how exactly is it supposed to work)?

Also, what's going on with the left side of the bolt carrier? Some kind of anti-preenagement device?

yeah, that's nothing new or "earth-shattering" what HK "came up" with..........they just ripped off that design what FABRIQUE NATIONALE did for the FAL , some 60 years ago
