That or Rodney Dangerfield... it gets no respect any more but that's ok. The thing is I've owned almost 20 different PCC weapon systems including almost all of the newest stuff save a few and the UMP is not as bad as they want to make it out to be but I understand it is in fashion to beat up on it now. The situation is what it is. I will move forward not giving a rat's behind what anyone else thinks of it. I am done defending it. I will continue to shoot and enjoy both of mine. They will both be taken out to the range along with my MP5 and the MP5K when I am in the PCC mood. So, it's the Nickelback of HK's?
I'd love one in 9mm, but don't want to start another platform. That or Rodney Dangerfield... it gets no respect any more but that's ok. Is it just me or does that thing look more like a cow.......
But, whatever that critter with the bat is, he looks highly motivated, and doesn't look like he's ever going to get tired of tenderizing that cow, so......

The CZ Scorpion also falls into that category. At least they can function with a couple of drops of water in the barrel, unlike the MPX. But, yes I agree with all of the above. I greatly prefer the MP5, and the B&T APC stuff. To each his/her own. It's not 'mindless'. It's a 1st generation subgun in a 3rd generation subgun world. It's a world war one gun made with modern plastic. It offers nothing over older designs, except corrosion resistance, drop safety and being cheap to manufacture (but HK doesn't really pass that savings on to the end user). The recoil impulse interferes with the ability use automatic fire effectively, and one could argue it interferes with semi-auto fire. The comb on the stock is high enough that some people have to drive their face into the stock to use the iron sights, only to get battered by the blowback action. The magazines are much bigger than greasegun mags, but manage to hold fewer rounds. If you fold the stock, you double the thickness of the gun, which is already girthy. Its sales in the law enforcement and military markets, as well as the opinions of knowledgeable individuals confirm that it is not a great gun.
It's interesting, but it's not HK's best work. If you disagree, tell me why I'm wrong.

Well friend... you sir are out of style and need to get with the times... prepare to be crucified... JK... yeah I still love them too no matter what other people say about them.I have been lusting for an UMP.
That's a wall of wet-dreams.Kind of familiar with the B&T APC series... also have owned the APC300 and APC 308 not shown in this older picture. Also owned two scorpions (pistol and carbine) and the MPX which I sold immediately after the APC9 and APC45 were acquired which were two of the first 50 B&T APC's in the country at the time.

No.. I love money for the useful tool it can be when used properly... I just unfortunately love guns and accessories a lot more than I do money. I just hope they have some tasty brands of cat food for after I retire... lol... jk.

I feel that way about my FS2000. A lot of hate thrown its way, but I absolutely love it.
I purchased a FS2000 and a PS90 when they first hit the market. I soon sold both. I loved the look of the FS2000 but the trigger was abysmal and I could not get past that. On the PS90... I did not like how high the sighting system was placed over the bore... you could dial in the sighting system at any range but a shot closer or farther away would be off. I really prefer precision shooting and I just could not get over that aspect of the platform at that time. I'm sure there are probably better trigger systems available now for the FS 2000 but I just lost interest in the platform and moved on. By this time my obsession with HK was getting much stronger... I started drifting more and more in that direction with my purchases.![]()

I concur As I feel the same way. I sold both of mine as well for the same reasons. My problem though is that I still get the urge for the PS90 and was even considering buying a P90 kit and doing a build. Problem is I dont who be able to do it and where to find a receiver for it.... but I think it would be cool to have something closer to a real P90... or a MP5SD... so many dreams... so little money!!!I purchased a FS2000 and a PS90 when they first hit the market. Man I feel your pain... I still get too many firearm urges but thankfully I am able to hold them at bay these days. The pending anti gun doom that is surely coming down the pipe has really helped me make the hard decisions I have put off for years. I've cut down my collection by at least 60% and even though I miss a few of them... I am truly at peace. I know I should have done this years ago but man this is a strong addiction... lol. I still have more redundancy than I truly need but I've chopped my long guns down to just 12 (my dirty dozen) not including shotguns or rimfire. All I can say is stay strong man and focus on less is more. Go for the optics you've always dreamed about... get body armor and night vision if you haven't already... work on your ammo fort if it isn't as deep as it needs to be... etc.I concur As I feel the same way.
