USPc conversions

Looks Like Black Talon 357 SIG From Here..

I found a factory 111 357 SIG barrel but just couldn't pay $350 for it..
A V6 Saab Owner has it JFYI

I've yet to shoot the USPc .357SIG I picked up a couple months ago, but plan to this week. I picked up 4 boxes of ammo, all they had, from GT Distributors in Jacksonville FL around Christmas time. I was shocked to find it for $15 a box. I plan to convert it to LEM and being a KK model, I have several upgrades moving my way.

Have you had an opportunity to shoot teh USPc 357sig? How did you like it? If it's like the P2000 it was a sweet shooting pistol. And the recoil probably was well managed. What are the upgrades you have/had planned for this pistol?

I've been crazy busy at work but did get out a couple of weeks ago to put a couple of mags thru it. It is very manageable and not at all what I was expecting. I figured it would have a lot of recoil but to be honest it wasn't anywhere what I thought it would be.

I have since converted it to LEM and upgraded to the new firing pin, firing pin spring, firing pin block and spring, as well as the new style catch so I could make the LEM conversion. This is my 2nd LEM conversion and all with the help of @TooSixy tutorials.

I also added the Talon Grips black rubber grip that I have added to several of my other HKs. I contemplated going with the PRO version of the Talon Grip which is a more aggressive rubber/granulate but after seeing a few pics I decided against it. The one thing I read on their site was the PRO version has color flecks in it and I didn't want that. From their website "The granulate and PRO materials are available in black (there are some color specs in PRO)"

Looks good. ;)

Got a second flush mag base plate. Finding that I like it better for carry than the ones with the pinky extensions. Still glad I got the USPc rather than the Gen 5 Glock 23. Although the Sig P365XL is my normal EDC, I carried the USPc yesterday and quite enjoyed it. Amazing what a good belt and holster combo will do!

The standard magazine base plate is my favorite--- difficult to find nowadays.

So back in March of this year I traded for an HK USPc 9mm. Had night sights and two mags. I don't recall what I traded but it was a good trade in my favor. First USPc I've ever owned or fired. As expected, it was exceptional. I very much like a hammer-fired DA/SA pistol.

About a month later, April, I was chatting with someone online locally that offered me a barely used complete 40 S&W upper. I didn't know at the time the upper could simply be swapped but was pleasantly surprised. So I purchased it and added new night sights. So a bit of time went by and I was chatting about the pistol on Florida Shooter's Network and a guy I know from there and Glock Talk suggested I get a 357sig barrel from RCM. He said he's had very good experiences with the company. So I took a look and the barrel was $175. I decided to go ahead and get the barrel in July and make the platform into a 3-n-1 pistol.

So the USPc in the photo has the 40 S&W slide, RCM 357sig barrel in the middle and 9mm slide on the bottom.

Extremely impressed with how it shot, particularly with the 40 S&W and 357sig barrels. Recoil was exceptionally manageable and I was thoroughly impressed all the way around. Accuracy was outstanding.

I had planned to buy a Gen 5 Glock 23 when they came out but after shooting the USPc I lost all interest in the Glock 23.5. The weight and specs are fairly the same on both pistols but the HK was specifically designed for 40 S&W so to me it is the inherently stronger platform.

I also have a .40 S&W HK USP compact. I have a .357 SIG barrel and was impressed. Along with the .40 S&W slide and .357 SIG barrel, did you have to get you have to get mags or did your 9mm mags work ?
I ask because I'm thinking about getting a 9mm slide and barrel. Just wondered if I also need 9mm mags. Thanks

357 mags (marked as such) for the USPc are pretty cheap these days. Cheaper than any other HK mags anyway. Just ordered a few more for mine yesterday in fact, to take advantage of the birthday pricing.

I haven’t tried to use the 9mm mags for 40 or 357 to be honest, so I’m not quite sure. The reverse is possible though from what I understand.
