Hi there from Clarksville Indiana USA two miles from Louisville KY..
Here's my introduction to Hk firearms.. IIRC it was 2002/2003?? Not sure really..
A fellow range member Tom had a USP45Compact that had come over to me & had a reload stuck in his barrel, I assume that round didn't have powder in it & the primer had forced the bullet half way into the polygonal rifling, I always keep tools with Me & He knew that, BTW He worked @ Kiesler's part time. So after getting the brass rod & hammer out I pounded the bullet out for him & traded my SIG Sauer P220ST to him for the USP45C for a few magazines full so we could both taste the other side.. We where both impressed & went on with our Saturday Morning range session.. I wanted an Hk USP Compact.. It shot way better IMO than the Glock 19 I was carrying at the time.
Later the next week I was @ KY Imports in Louisville & asked Paul there if He had any H&Ks, He asked his Wife "Where is that Hk 45 in the black case?"
He presented Me with a USP45Tactical in a big zipper case with all kinds of goodies within, I said WOW Man!! How Much?? He said $600 Cash out the door, I tore my wallet out & the rest is Hk History for me.. What a great pistol that had a UTL, Fake Can & six magazines + other goodies extra O-Rings etc.. SO SWEET!! I had to Buy it... Thanks Paul..
Later on I came across a P7M8 with the mill mark @ a local Pawn Shop & bought it for the Crazy price of $229.. That's right $229 with two magazines & the plastic case.
I had the mill mark removed & had Hk engraved there & had it hard chromed by Horrace Boothe @ Ford's in Florida & bought two extra magazines to also have HCd + had Meprolite night sight installed then bought a carbon scraper & a .270" bore brush for the gas system..
My next Hk was a USP357Compact I found at another Pawn Shop in Louisville with no magazines, Nothing but the pistol alone, I paid $349 & later found a 12 round LEO marked 40 S&W magazine @ KY Imports so I could shoot the small little Hk, This was during the AWB & that magazine cost like $120. OUCH!! I also bought a 40 S&W barrel for it..
Later on in my life I sold all those H&Ks off + several dozen S&Ws, Beretta, Rugers etc. to help fund a house I was buying at the time in Louisville..
Well here come 2020 I had a few Glocks = G24 & G26.4 that I sold at twice the buying price just after the stimulus checks rolled out using Armslist & INGO..
Right after that I had been looking around for a new carry weapon & low & behold I came across two Hk USP 40 Compacts sitting in the glass case at another local Pawn Shop S&S Brothers in Jeffersonville Indiana one mile over from Clarksville.. They had a stainless KH/1997 & a blued AC/2002, The KH was marked $579.99 & the AC $649.99 = WHAT??
There was a Glock 21 in the same case marked $699.99 that sold while I was standing there.. I had to act quickly & bought the stainless one & put the 2nd one on layaway for $600, They gave me $50 off on the 2nd one, The stainless one had one 10 round magazine only, The 2nd blued one has all the goodies + case & two 10 round magazines..
I did a few other deals during that time & sold my Taurus 85CH + ammo at crazy prices to those who didn't have a stash..
I bought a several holsters & magazines threw HKPRO + eBay & Facebook marketplace CHEAP!!
The AC blued one is still on layaway & I owe $210 currently & have till 1/10/21 to pay it off.. Four more weeks, I might pick it up before Christmas or wait till January which is my 55th birthday month+ my Twin Brother Jerry,s too.. Gary & Jerry the Fraternal Twins.. Don't want to stretch my funds too thin currently as I'm retired & my twin brother had a stroke & lost his home due to lack of payments on his mortgage & now lives in my lower level basement with his dog Missy.. He's my Bro.. Been here a year as of 12/27/19..
Well that's my Hk Story of how I walked into several H&Ks @ GREAT prices..
Here's a few pics from our PCs hard drive..
