HK Walnut and Steel

I believe the P9 series pistols to have the best outta the box trigger, HK has put into a handgun. Every time I get warmed-up shooting one....double-taps are second nature. They're probably the best HK suppressor-host, too.

Not better than a Mark 23 (or USP). ;):ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I recently posted a WTB thread looking for G3 wood furniture. MMissile Mike offered to sell me a nice set and sent me a few pictures. Well the furniture arrive today. I cant tell you folks how nice this furniture is. Nearly flawless, somebody did me a huge favor!

I want to switch the HK91's painted backplate/recoil rod assembly with the parkerized one on the G3 wood., then I'll post some pictures.

By the way, does anyone know how to get the end cap off a plastic HK buttstock without destroying it? I saw a video on Youtube. The guy grabbed it with a pair of water-pump pliers and tore it off. I'm not doing that to mine. There's got to be another way (please tell me there's another way).

Ok, so seriously, is there a trick to removing the buttstock end cap or should I expect terminal damage?

ETA: Used a good size bench vise with a serious amount of padding on the jaws.

Wanted to take a minute and crow about JDowney's work!

My crappy phone-cam does it no justice. Where's Ansel Adams when you need him?
The fit is PERFECT. pin lined up perfectly with no slop at the receiver end.
Where's my Hasselblad!
I wish I had had the foresight to send him my buttstock too.
Wow!

ETA: I'm going to very carefully repaint the end caps with some HK black.

I'm going to make an attempt to get my buttstock to match Jdowney's handguard. This will take a while.
I'll post a picture of the gun when I'm done.
