Forgive my ignorance, but what is the big draw on LEO marked MP5 mags? Were they only available during a certain period/during the last AWB? No longer produced? They seem to always sell for at least $100, while new mags are like $70ish currently. I guess I'd like to have one just to say I do. Are certain date codes more desirable/rare/valuable? (And I guess this is kind of a what's it worth question. Hope that's not verboten.)
Absolutely not forbidden--- I think that you suffer from HKP PTSD.
Most LE-marked magazines are not date-coded--- but here are some that I have seen:

The increased value may due to the unique markings (for collectors), or those with firearms that have similar, LE markings on their receivers.
