Single claw mount

HmmmmπŸ€”
Thinkin I may need to make this a project.
A. Buy claw mount
B. Cut down length
C. Grind top down
D. Drill and tap
E. Secure micro dot
Any suggestions from the crew??

And @ENDER Thanks!!
@ghoulardi pretty sure this shows that I have thought about that πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‚πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ€™πŸ»

Thats the direction I have been headed but trying to ensure there wont be random zero shifts due to base movement.

well, if you don't want the mount to move, then either epoxy it to the receiver, or use the mount as it was intended to be use, with all 4 claws

again, you're welcome :)

I don't understand the sudden fascination with a single claw mount. I don't see the purpose or advantage and only see the potential negatives. To each his own, I suppose, but do people not already have enough problems in life that they need to make some up? Seriously.

@HKshooter
Not a "sudden fascination" , but thanks for your unconstructive opinion, it helpsπŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™‚οΈπŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ, only if I were to get offended easilyπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. What Im trying to do here is akin to deciding how to paint a model plane, how to paint my model tank and where to place them on my diorama. Wait, wait....could I be describing a HOBBY?? Holy cow you mean taking pleasure in fiddling with metal parts, being creative and constructive. You mean trying something outside the box???? Dont guys do this with cars, jeeps & boats too?? Geez silly people, creating more life problems πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

SERIOUSLY....

Just a suggestion, this is the route I took and works great.

Sorry, I don't really pay attention too well.

I don't understand why people don't go to the manufacturer for items. It's kinda amusing. It always seemed so obvious to me.....

probably because some don't sell to the public, they have distributors that sell their production. some do sell to the public, but you don't know unless you e-mail them. which a lot of people are either afraid to or figure they don't and don't even ask..........it never hurts to ask,

Thanks πŸ‘πŸ» That was lotsa help!! I PMd you and asked where you got them because I dont know who makes em. Was hoping to actually learn something through you and try to contact the company. Your assumption that I am to dumb or lazy (at least thats what I gather from your response) at least provided you with amusement. Silly me, I thought I could learn by asking a simple question. And no, for the record I am not thin skinned. I find equal amusement at your response. People never cease to entertain πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‚ I also asked prior to you editing your post with the pic. My fault for not scrolling back up, had I done so I would have found the manufacturers info. πŸ˜ŽπŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈπŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

You can take that personally, if you'd like. My point is just how much time people spend on the internet [everywhere], but don't seem to step outside the status-quo/box when they're looking for something. I don't take too much seriously, and the internet is just entertainment, for when I'm not doing car stuff or shooting. I should probably log-out when I'm not using sites, but seldom think about it.
