Knife collecting... ok let's see them

Was it worth $600?? HaHa

I couldn't pull my wallet out fast enough
My Wife was there & pissed off over it
I bought her a ring from the same guy that day
She still has the ring

Another pawn shop

He couldn't sell it because the rear sight & scope where gone
I ordered a Kensight for $50 & added several hundred to it's value
Could have gotten way more

I carried a Colt 1991-A1 Compact for 25 years
Finally Sold it a few weeks before the Pandemic
It cost me $300 in 1993

Yes Sir! I would say it was definitely worth it! LOL!
Great deal all around!

I still have the pocket knife.. A gift from a LEO who broke the tip off..
Dressed it up & it's been with me about 15 years IIRC
Colts have all flown the coop.

When I saw that 1911 it got me thinking about the Custom Shop "Colt Custom Comp" I bought for $600 about six months ago..
Sold it off quickly at a nice profit.. How I paid my taxes six months ago..
I did fit a rear sight assembly to it & removed the scope mount & racking handle..
Was worth at least a couple grand back when these ruled the bowling pin matches

Not sure if I had shared this photo before of several vintage knives & an ice pick.. I have maybe 10 ice picks
I gave my oldest son several of these smaller ones Schrade Old Timers, Uncle Henry + Case Red Bone & Victornox

My Wife Tamara made the Chess Board 40 years ago @ Wood Shop in school & got an F on it..
Teach said it was too good & must have had help.. He didn't realize that Her Grandpa was a master wood worker & his skills had transferred to her..
The project was never taken home & done in his class in front of him.. I need to buy some nice fancy jade chess pieces for it.. = Pawn Shop.. Yeah!

Nice collection--- even a La Cosa Nostra assassin's tool. ;)

Well my 3rd Randall knife arrived today... it is a model 1-6 with stag crown handle. I now at least have a 3 knife display going. It is light years from what I want to do when I have a lot more but will have to do for now.

While I do not collect, the Exemplar and Combat Troodon ride in the pockets

However, HIGH up on my “want” list is this Busse Trough Raider. There is just something about it that calls out to me. So, maybe someday.

My EDC are an Emerson and a OTF Benchmade Infidel. Your knives are most excellent BTW.
